Manages the deployment and execution of controls and defenses to ensure the security of company technology, information systems and technology based payment systems.
Responsibilities:
Implements and maintains security protocol (standards and criteria) for critical systems and operational policies
Maintains team and staff adherence to appropriate standards for hardware, software, email and web firewall, access and encryption requirements
Manages execution of security breach test plans and remediation plans with team and business
Guides and develops team and business to understand company policies and market trends to ensure the efficient operation of the function
Partners with internal and/or external parties to address current and potential security issues
Encourages cooperation among and provides guidance to team members
Qualifications:
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Security Engineering
8+ years of experience with prior IT or equivalent discipline with at least 2 years of management/supervisory experience
Required knowledge of ISO 27001 security framework and Vulnerability management
Must have experience with the security framework within Google, Azure and AWS
Must have experience managing a team of up to 5 staff members in a global environment.
Must be fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal)
Preferred Requirements:
Advanced degree preferred
Familiarity with containerized compute environments (docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity Security tools (orca, CrowdStrike, nucleous) and Jira
Certification of ISO 27001 security framework is a great plus
Key Skills and Competencies:
Experience managing professional staff
Ability to manage budgets
Ability to identify and manage process improvements
Demonstrate interaction with subordinates, customers, and/or peer group managers; often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team
Demonstrates technical and management skills
