Temporary - Analytics Engineer

As Omnicell strives to position itself as a premier digital healthcare company, Omnicell’s 340B Data Acquisitions team is looking for an Analytics Engineer who is an experienced professional that will play a key role in support of those efforts by leading, creating, and extending the Omnicell 340B products. This person is a highly skilled software designer and developer who can apply industry and corporate best practices to produce quality applications. This person applies their practical and theoretical knowledge from Computer Science and previous experience in Healthcare or a related industry. This person works as a part of a team to design and develop new products as well as maintain the Omnicell 340B current portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Understand how Omnicell solutions meet our customers' needs and how our suite of products is used across the continuum of care
• Work as part of a Full Stack team to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain ASP.NET / MVC / C# / HTML / CSS / SQL / SSIS / Cloud solutions for assigned product lines
• Collaborate with software quality engineers and other cross-functional teams in all phases of testing, documentation, and training
• Execute on a technical solution with minimal guidance, creating solution prototypes, providing top quality design, and create documentation for support and understanding of code created for each initiative
• Work as both a developer and tester to ensure proper unit and test automations are in place and documented, create unit tests to help ensure code quality throughout the application’s life cycle, and participates in code reviews for fellow team members, as required
• Create tickets and participate in the change control/change management discussions and processes for business unit
• Proactively assessing and mitigating project risks from the development side to ensure timelines are met
• Adhere to software development design standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable and high-quality software
• Work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment – writing / decomposing user stories, participate in grooming and estimation sessions etc.
• Continue to improve code quality by tracking, reducing, and avoiding technical debt
  
  
  

Required Skills:

• Expertise building ETL solutions using SSIS.
• Expertise in writing stored procedures and SQL queries
• Proficient in Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle management
• Experience with CI/CD tools and Version Control tools like GIT
• Good understanding of Test-Driven Development and Behavioral Driven Development strategies and approaches
• Knowledge of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies
• Strong data analytics, quantitative skills, problem-solving skills, comfortable navigating data-driven business environments
• Self-motivated, independent worker who is driven to deliver results without close management
• Ability to communicate well and work with other developers and can foster team and peer loyalty
• Encourages constructive design discussion with the team
• Be able to work efficiently in a high pressured and fast pace environment
• Excellent prioritization skills to deliver multiple projects in a timely manner

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems Management or equivalent
• 5+ years as a Developer with experience in SQL and SSIS
  
  
  

Preferred:

• 2+ years related experience developing in the Pharmacy, Hospital/EMR, PBM, hospital revenue cycle, or 340B industry
• Knowledge of pharmacy, prescription claims adjudication, PBM, or medical EDI data a plus
• 2+ years of experience in software design and development using C#, Microsoft Azure Data Factory, AWS, .NET Framework / .NET Core, REST APIs, XML, Angular (or similar UI Framework)

Intake Notes:

• This role will help to migrate into a new program updating existing code to remove or add code that is relevant to the customer updating their departments in the portal. SSIS SQL based data analytics reviewing data for customers to load data as required.
• Familiar with SQL SSIS, ETL tools are helpful. 340B familiarity helps focus on project as short term okay if doesn't have knowledge. Needs to be able to understand healthcare concepts.
• QA Development, updating and testing regression testing. Once set up a customer another department supports ongoing maintenance.
• 12-month contract and needs enthusiasm and excitement for the role and interested in contract role.
• Manage different types of tasks and priorities not completely analytically or developing. Ability to prioritize work.
• 30-minute zoom interview
• Travel - Must be able to travel 10% if needed.
• Recent experience with some healthcare experience is preferred and recent experience in healthcare data along with SSIS/SQL technical experience as the learning curve is high if no experience with healthcare data
• Ensure appropriate interview attire and good mannerisms and research the company prior to interviewing as well as 340b drug pricing.
• Ability to provide accurate responses to technical questions asked and he needs to be able to articulate very well their experience with healthcare data, especially HL7 vs. EDI formats, etc.
• Prescreen candidate and video interview required.
