Job Title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Remote in CST

Position Overview:

Join our newly formed Platform Engineering team, dedicated to creating more automation, optimization, and standardization. You will work closely with the Networking team to determine monitoring requirements, particularly for traffic logs.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluation and Selection of Monitoring Tools:
Conduct evaluations and select appropriate monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic).
Develop scorecards and gather requirements for setting up monitoring across all teams.
Run Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate tool effectiveness.
Implementation of Monitoring Tools:
Set up Application Performance Monitoring (APM) systems.
Create and manage monitoring pipelines.
Develop and configure alerts to ensure system reliability.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Networking team to understand and implement their monitoring needs.
Collaborate with outsourced development teams to integrate monitoring solutions.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Development Background: Proven experience as a Senior SRE Engineer with a strong development background.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Gitlab.
- Expertise in Terraform for IaC.
- Strong Python scripting skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
Monitoring Tools: Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, or New Relic.
Implementation Skills: Ability to set upAPM, create pipelines, and configure alerts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a platform engineering team.
- Familiarity with Salesforce integrations, data pipelines, and low code/no code AI solutions.
