SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, the Senior Sales Operations Analyst is a cross-functional role responsible for business process and impact analysis related to sales performance, sales planning, and variable pay system implementation and change management. This role is responsible for assessing system performance, efficiency, and effectiveness, along with future plan development.
JOB DUTIES
- Conducts comprehensive analysis and effectively translates complex business requirements into easily comprehensible formats for diverse audiences.
- Manages solutions design, system functionality, system enhancements, plan builds, quota-setting, plan performance tracking, reporting and data transformations.
- Participates in the sales planning process, including territory design, sales process improvement and customer assignments.
- Evaluates current systems and data load processes required to support the business strategies and process capabilities.
- Establishes design/build, and testing procedures, guidelines and best practices, ensuring optimal performance and efficiencies.
- Provides technical oversite to ensure a holistic design, minimizing overlap and duplication across different components, plans and systems.
- Recommends corrective action for bug fixes and provides support for break/fix activities in accordance with change management policies.
- Collaborates with HR Compensation to analyze incentive plans for effectiveness and determine possible modifications to plans.
- Participates in modeling of new plans, components, territory and portfolio balancing, and quota-setting.
- Acts as a mentor to lower-level sales operations employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree and seven (7) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Prior experience in a sales operations, incentive compensation or similar role.
- Well-developed capabilities in problem-solving and streamlining processes.
- Expert ability to analyze data and organize it into useful information.
- Strong business acumen and ability translate business requirements into technical design.
- Ability to adapt, adjust and move with speed to execute on priorities.
- Strong time and project management skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with executive leadership in an open, friendly and accepting manner.
- Ability to develop rapport, influence others and maintain strong working relationships cross-functionally.
- Knowledge of territory design and planning, compensation design, quota setting and business analytics.
- Understanding in scoping projects and timeline to innovate functionality.
- Strong and professional written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Occasional travel may be required.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
- Certification as Varicent v10 Technical Specialist preferred.
