Job description

As the Senior Manager of Sales Compensation at Zelis Healthcare, you will implement and administer compensation plans that incentivize and reward the sales team’s performance. These plans will align with Zelis’s revenue and profit objectives while ensuring scalability and transparency. Additionally, you will support quota setting and overall performance analytics to ensure sales compensation accurately reflects achievements and drives the right behaviors within the sales force. This role will require significant partnership with Sales Leadership, People & Culture (P&C), Finance, and Total Compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the assessment and management of SPIFF, the Sales Compensation administration tool, including implementation and administration of all Sales Incentive Plans (SIPs), SPIFFs, and MBOs.
  • Leverage full functionality and feature set of SPIFF to support calculation transparency such as integrating with Salesforce and Workday, deploying enablement tools (i.e. calculators) and releasing commission statements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of plans, participants and payments.
  • Develop and maintain a process, in collaboration with P&C, to capture participant management data, such as hire dates, hierarchy detail, mobility dates, SIP assignments, and other pertinent information to pay team members accurately.
  • Accountable for plan administration and payout validation between FP&A and SPIFF.
  • Supports the development and communication of administrative related sales compensation policy.
  • Support the field by responding to inquiries, resolving disputes, and manages the exception review process.
  • Responsible for assisting in SOX processes and audits.
  • Provide leadership in setting quota targets, defining rules of engagement, and processes to address mid-year quota changes.
  • Analyze and interpret sales performance data to ensure these programs remain competitive, cost-effective, and motivating.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • BA/BS in quantitative major (finance, business, mathematics, statistics) preferred
  • 8+ years of sales compensation experience required
  • 5+ years’ experience leading high-performance teams, in-office, and remote settings
  • Knowledge of Sales Compensation design and administrative best practices
  • Experience building out and administering compensation plans through an Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) system (SPIFF, Xactly, etc.)
  • Possess strong analytical chops, a process mindset, and exceptional project management skills.
