6 months Paid internship—Finance and accounting (Spring 2025)

mdf commerce Inc. is an international team of approximately 650 experts who develop a broad set of SaaS solutions to optimize and accelerate commercial interactions of its B2B and B2G customers.

Our finance team is currently looking for a finance and accounting intern for a 6-month full-time paid internship in spring 2025.

In this internship, you’ll have the opportunity to work directly with the finance team and familiarize yourself with the accounting processes of our company. You’ll play an active role in managing our accounting system and month-end process, while facing challenges related to account reconciliations and financial reporting. This internship will enable you to contribute to major projects such as the year-end audit, and to acquire essential skills in a multi-currency, multi-company environment.

What will your main responsibilities look like?

In this role, you will be led to:

• Actively participate in the maintenance of the accounting system and the month-end process, in a multi-currency and multi-company environment.
• Perform account reconciliations (bank and other GL)—CDN and US.
• Update monthly and quarterly reports.
• Follow-up of prepaid and accrued expenses.
• Participate in the year-end audit process.
• Assist the Director, Financial Information in various initiatives.

Key elements of your professional background for this role:

• You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in administration, accounting concentration.
• You are working towards obtaining your CPA designation.
• You possess strong analytical and synthesis skills.
• You are eager to learn how an accounting department works.
• You are proficient in Excel and accounting systems.
• You are a team player and collaborate effectively with others.
• You demonstrate meticulousness and precision in your work.
• You have knowledge of Microsoft Business Central (an asset).
• You have experience in the technology field (an asset).
