About the Role

The role of the Education Solution Portfolio Manger is to drive demand for the GME suite of education eSolutions in their territory through effective customer engagement.  Focusing on industry networking, fostering relationships, making connections, and demonstrating market knowledge and portfolio expertise, the EPSM works alongside the sales teams to drive revenue streams and help achieve and exceed revenue growth and targets.  

Responsibilities:

  • Generate opportunity demand of assigned GME eProducts/solutions to target accounts within designated territory, working collaboratively with institutional sales teams and leading conversations through to conversions of opportunities
  • Develop and expand your network of key customer contacts and key opinion leaders, driving demand and becoming the go-to Elsevier contact for education institutions in your territory
  • Demo the GME portfolio of eProducts/solutions to Deans, faculty, heads of departments, librarians and other key contacts to drive workflow solutions within your territory
  • Anaylize the competitive landscape, identifying new competitors and changes to current competitor offerings and any implications for the GME portfolio and our customers
  • Identify future opportunities and trends
  • Improve brand image and its visibility in the academic context
  • Display sound product knowledge, technical knowledge, and understanding related to the GME eProducts portfolio in order to be able to present yourself as an expert in front of faculty, Deans, heads of department, and librarians
  • Ensure full involvement in internal sales and product trainings, highlighting any individual gaps in knowledge you may have to take advantage of specific upskilling training
  • Working with the sales teams on top opportunities and the pipeline, conduct regular SalesForce and Compass analysis, reporting on progress to sales and commercial leadership
