Job description

This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States.

Fullstory is on a mission to empower businesses with the deepest possible understanding of digital user behavior. Our patented technology transforms every digital interaction into high-quality, actionable data—fueling better decisions, more intuitive products, and ultimately, superior customer experiences.

We believe Fullstory should feel like an indispensable teammate—one that brings unparalleled expertise in digital behavioral analytics, a deep understanding of industry trends and functional needs, and a relentless commitment to helping our customers find actionable high-impact insights.

As a Principal Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Fullstory’s core platform and driving its AI transformation. You will define and execute the strategy for a platform that powers the entire Fullstory product suite—enabling teams across the company to deliver cutting-edge behavioral analytics solutions. This role requires you to think both broadly and deeply: designing platform capabilities that scale across multiple products while also shaping end-to-end customer experiences that drive real impact.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role where you will:

  • Own the platform strategy, roadmap, and execution—ensuring it serves as a foundation for Fullstory’s next generation of AI-driven capabilities.

  • Collaborate across the company, partnering closely with other Product teams, UX, and Engineering, as well as cross-functional stakeholders in Product Marketing, Sales, Onboarding, and Customer Success.

  • Stay close to customers, spending ~30% of your time engaging directly with them to deeply understand their challenges, needs, and opportunities.

If you thrive at the intersection of platform innovation and customer experience, and you’re excited about building a high-scale, AI-powered product ecosystem, we’d love to hear from you!

In a typical day, you might:

  • Define and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Fullstory’s core platform—ensuring it scales across products and powers AI-driven insights. Your decisions will be deeply informed by customer needs, user research, and data analysis.

  • Partner closely with Product, UX, and Engineering to build platform capabilities that enable all Fullstory products, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality execution.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, Onboarding, and Customer Success to drive adoption and communicate the value of platform-driven innovations.

  • Engage directly with customers (~30% of your time)—uncovering pain points, validating solutions, and ensuring Fullstory’s platform delivers meaningful business impact.

  • Contribute to pre-sales and post-sales efforts, helping sales teams articulate the value of the platform while ensuring successful implementation and ongoing customer success.

  • Drive innovation through AI and cutting-edge technology, shaping how behavioral data is leveraged across Fullstory’s products in new and transformative ways.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Proven track record in product management, with experience defining, launching, and scaling high-impact products—especially platforms that enable other products. Demonstrated ability to balance long-term vision with delivering value quickly and incrementally.

  • Success in taking products from ideation to launch and beyond, with a focus on adoption, customer value, and measurable business impact.

  • Hands-on experience shipping AI-powered products and an understanding of Generative AI concepts and applications.

  • Strong customer and business acumen, with the ability to translate user pain points and market insights into platform strategies that drive measurable impact.

  • Cross-functional leadership skills, effectively partnering with Design, Engineering, and business teams to drive alignment and execution at scale.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.

The impact you will have in 6 Months:

  • You will have developed a deep understanding of Fullstory's core platform & the core product, its customers, and the competitive landscape.

  • You will have defined a clear product strategy and roadmap for the next 12-18 months, aligned with company goals and customer needs.

The impact you will have in 12 Months:

  • You will have launched significant product enhancements or new features that drive customer value and business growth.

  • You will have established yourself as a product leader within Fullstory, influencing product strategy and mentoring other PMs.
