540 is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join our team supporting USCIS. You'll be building applications using modern open source technologies hosted on AWS. You can expect a fast-paced environment in which the team will be providing architecture design, development, security and operations services in support of USCIS Integration Services. You will be helping to assist with the seamless and accurate exchange of information from different systems by facilitating the transfer of data. The portfolio of systems supports millions of applicants as they go through Citizenship and visa processing. The team you will be joining uses Agile and innovative practices to bring technical solutions to the USCIS mission. USCIS administers the nation's lawful immigration system, safeguarding its integrity and promise by efficiently and fairly adjudicating requests for immigration benefits while protecting Americans, securing the homeland, and honoring our values.
Location: Remote within the continental United States, East Coast working hours with some flexibility afforded
Citizenship & Clearance Requirement: per client requirements, must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related (preferred)
