This role in a nutshell:

You’ll drive our roadmap for Google Workspace, devices, be given challenging tasks, lead initiatives and take ownership and responsibility for a platform that is our people’s entry point to the OVO technology experience.

As the MDM/Endpoint Management Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining our modern, secure, and scalable endpoint infrastructure.  You will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of our diverse device ecosystem, including Macs, Windows PCs, and Chrome devices.  This position requires a deep understanding of operating systems, core MDM solutions, security best practices, and automation. You will be a key contributor to our zero-trust security initiative.

    • Secure & Efficient Endpoint Management: You will own the administration and maintenance of our MDM platforms (Intune and Mosyle/Jamf), ensuring seamless device enrollment, configuration, and management. This includes policy creation, deployment, and enforcement across all supported platforms, contributing directly to a secure and productive end-user experience.You will manage and optimize our Apple Business Manager environment, including device procurement, automated device enrollment (DEP/ADE), and app distribution
    • Proactive Security Posture: You will implement and maintain security configurations based on CIS benchmarks or similar industry best practices. Your proactive approach to vulnerability identification and remediation will be critical to minimizing risks and strengthening our zero-trust security architecture. You will be responsible for ensuring our endpoints remain compliant and secure.
    • Automated & Scalable Deployments: You will develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) to automate device deployments, configuration changes, and other routine tasks. Your focus on automation will streamline our processes, improve efficiency, and enable us to scale our endpoint management effectively. This includes creating custom deployment packages and workflows.
    • Interconnected systems: You will be able to integrate the endpoint management systems with asset manager, EDRs, network security tools, to build policy and controls.
    • Collaborative & Supportive Environment: You will work closely with other IT teams, including security, networking, and help desk, to ensure a cohesive and secure endpoint environment. Your technical guidance and support will empower end-users and contribute to a positive IT experience.Implement scalable, reliable and secure practices, strategies, methodologies, and approaches to device and Google 
    • Follow a robust testing change management and control process 

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Strong experience in managing MDM solutions , end to end (Intune and Mosyle or Jamf).
  • Deep understanding of macOS, Windows, and ChromeOS.
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices, including experience of implementing CIS benchmarks and zero-trust security principles.
  • Experience with vulnerability management and remediation 
  • Extensive experience with Apple Business Manager and automated device enrollment across platforms, including preprovisioning using MDMs. 
  • Understanding of platformSSO and syncing device login with IdP
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of deploying BYOD policies
  • Familiarity with Google workspace administration

Familiarity operating the following technologies and platforms would be advantageous (but is not required):

  • Identity and Access Management and Privileged Access Management platforms (including IDPs such as Okta )
  • Allowlisting (application control)
  • Issue and Project Tracking (Jira)
  • Workflow and process automation

We’ll pay you between £39,960 - £57,542 depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!

We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission.

You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
