Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Automation Quality Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications through automated testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web testing and mobile testing, and experience in web automation with Cypress framework, and in API testing using Postman. Additionally, familiarity with mobile automation frameworks such as XCUITest, Espresso, or Appium will be considered a valuable asset. Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with development teams and for reporting on testing outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

As an Automation Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and Developing Automated Test Scripts: Create robust automated test scripts for web applications using Cypress framework to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Executing Automated Tests: Run automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement in the application.
• API Testing: Utilize Postman to perform thorough API testing, ensuring that backend services are functioning as expected and meet performance standards.
• Mobile Testing Contributions: Participate in manual app testing in iOS and Android simulators and mobile testing efforts using XCUITest, Espresso, or Appium, contributing to the overall quality of mobile applications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand application features and requirements, ensuring that testing aligns with project goals.
• Reporting: Communicate testing outcomes effectively to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on test results.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest testing tools and methodologies, and suggest improvements to the testing process.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

• Cypress: Proficient in using Cypress for automated web testing. Experience in writing, executing, and maintaining test scripts to ensure the functionality and performance of web applications.
• Web Testing: Strong experience in web application testing, including knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Mobile Testing: Proficient in running apps in iOS and Android simulators.
• Postman: Proficient in using Postman for API testing. Ability to create and execute test cases for RESTful APIs, validate responses, and ensure data integrity.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and report on testing outcomes.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• XCUITest: Familiarity with XCUITest for iOS mobile application testing. Understanding of how to create and execute automated tests for iOS applications.
• Espresso: Experience with Espresso for Android mobile application testing. Ability to write and run automated tests for Android applications to ensure quality and performance.
• Appium: Knowledge of Appium for cross-platform mobile testing. Experience in setting up and executing automated tests for both iOS and Android applications.
