DoD SkillBridge Internship: Project Manager
SkillBridge Host Company: Uptima
SkillBridge Provider: Vets2PM LLC
Location: Remote

(While this internship is remote, there will be 50%+ of the time spent in synchronous communication with Vets2PM, host company, and / or clients)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Salesforce Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering Salesforce projects for our clients. This role requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of Salesforce, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
● Project Planning and Execution:
○ Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
○ Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
○ Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless project execution.
○ Tracks project performance against milestones and KPIs.
○ Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.

● Stakeholder Management:
○ Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
○ Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues.
○ Manage client relationships and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

● Team Collaboration:
○ Lead and motivate project team members.
○ Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.
○ Provide guidance and support to ensure project success.

● Risk and Issue Management:
○ Identify and manage project risks and issues.
○ Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
○ Escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.

● Quality Assurance:
○ Ensure high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations.
○ Conduct regular project reviews and quality checks.
○ Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

● Documentation and Reporting:
○ Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
○ Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
○ Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

● Internal Process Improvement: 
○ Present areas for improvement in processes or documentation 
○ Document and train on approved process or document improvement 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years managing Salesforce implementation projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder) are highly desirable.
  • PMP, Scrum, SaFe, or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Enterprise project management experience that includes proposals, contract management, pricing, risk management, and project staffing.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage client relationships.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., SmartSheet, MS Project, JIRA, Asana).
  • Financial and budgeting acumen.

Compensation:
If hired after the internship the compensation range is $63K - $92K; this compensation range is an estimate and may be based on experience level, internship performance, location, etc.



Vets2PM Provides:
  • PMP or CAPM Certification training and 1 exam voucher or PMI-ACP/Scrum Certification training and 1 exam voucher.
  • Mentorship and guidance via bi-weekly SkillBridge Intern Zoom Meetings.
  • PM Fundamentals course, Resume writing, LinkedIn optimization, and interview skills course.  
  • Other free resources, including an electronic copy of 'How to Speak Civilian Fluently'.  
Other:  
Not all internships include certification training by Vets2PM, as many host companies include their own internship-focused training instead. If selected for an internship with Vets2PM please read your approval email, letter, and training plan to be sure you understand what is included in your internship.
