Job Description

As a Social Media Manager for this exciting online education startup, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s digital presence and driving growth across multiple platforms. Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute innovative social media strategies across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest to increase brand awareness and engagement
  • Create captivating content that resonates with our target audience, including eye-catching visuals, informative posts, and short-form videos
  • Implement growth hacking techniques to rapidly expand our email subscriber list from its current small base to a robust community of thousands
  • Drive targeted traffic to landing pages and course offerings through strategic social media campaigns and content distribution
  • Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies in real-time to optimize performance and achieve key business objectives
  • Collaborate closely with the founder to ensure social media efforts align with overall business goals and course content
  • Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster a vibrant online community around our educational offerings
  • Assist in creating visually appealing graphics and videos for course modules using Squarespace’s platform
  • Stay ahead of social media trends and platform updates, continuously improving our social media presence
Requirements
  • Proven track record in social media management across multiple platforms, with a focus on growth and engagement
  • Strong understanding of social media best practices, current trends, and algorithm changes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms and audiences
  • Proficiency in creating engaging visual content, including basic graphic design and video editing skills
  • Experience with email marketing strategies and growing subscriber lists
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting
  • Analytical mindset with experience in using social media metrics to inform strategy
  • Familiarity with online education or e-learning platforms is a plus
  • Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on digital marketing trends
  • Experience with Squarespace or similar website builders is beneficial
  • Creativity, adaptability, and a growth mindset are essential for success in this role
