Position Overview:

By Light is looking for an engineer to assist with the By Light Cyber Range platform operations at Marshall University (MU). The candidate will work with By Light and MU to ensure the cyber range meets the requirements of the faculty. The role requires the candidate has the necessary skills to build, debug, and manage the cyber range. In addition to helping manage the cyber range, working with By Light and MU, the candidate will help identify new range requirements and implement the appropriate solutions.

Responsibilities:

Develop the skills needed to manage and operate the cyber range
Help identify training and associated cyber range requirements
- Work with By Light to make the required cyber range modifications
Handle day to day management of the cyber range
- User management
- Perform periodic maintenance: snapshots/backups
- Insure cyber range operational integrity

Required Experience/Qualifications:

Cyber Security degree or equivalent experience
Experience with virtual environments and services
- AWS
- KVM
- Kubernetes
Networking experience
- Basic switch/firewall configuration
- Routing familiarity
Automation experience
- DevOps as code
- Ansible provisioning
Excellent oral and written communication skills
