Job Title: Director, Medical Affairs

Invivyd is seeking a passionate, self-motivated Director, Medical Affairs who will work closely with the VP, Medical Affairs and other departments to lead and execute the company’s Medical Affairs strategy. S(he) will be responsible for overseeing the field-based MSL team and also designing medical communication strategies and implementing tactical plans.

Reporting to the VP, Medical Affairs the Director, Medical Affairs will function as the field director for the MSLs, responsible for strategy, implementation, team oversight, and metrics. They will function as a key member of the Medical Affairs team, with additional responsibility for development and execution of medical communications plans aligned with short term and long-term objectives. This person may work collaboratively across preclinical development, clinical development, commercial, legal and regulatory supporting pipeline and authorized product(s). They will ensure consistency of approach and quality scientific deliverables.

Responsibilities:

Medical Science Liaisons

  • Provides strategic direction and scientific support to the MSL team
  • Develops and implements MSL training plans
  • Provides operational oversight to team
  • Responsible for reporting insights and metrics
  • Fully understands and applies MSL SOP's, regulatory and legal guidelines
  • Helps foster MSL excellence in external engagement
  • Conducts field rides with MSLs

Medical Communications

  • Contributes to Medical Affairs strategic plan
  • Contributes to implementation of the medical communications and external engagement plans
  • Presents scientific data at internal and external meetings (e.g. advisory boards, investigator meetings, and professional associations)
  • Evaluates, distills, and appropriately communicates medical and scientific intelligence
  • Anticipates future industry trends and opportunities, proactively developing plans to address through Medical Affairs strategy
  • Provides scientific input into publication planning
  • Develops and reviews abstracts, manuscripts, posters and slides for internal and external scientific meetings and field medical use
  • Ensures the implementation of core messages into presentations and written materials; aligns cross-functionally on messaging
  • Works closely with commercial and clinical development/regulatory in designing and implementing launch strategies and tactics as well as life cycle planning
