About this role:

Renaissance Global are recruiting for a Data Analyst to join our growing team.

Our Data Analyst will work with the Data Science Lead to build relationships with stakeholders across the business. The successful candidate will build and deliver analytical reports or dashboards using Power BI or any other visualisation tool as would be appropriate.  The successful candidate will have the guidance and opportunity to lead analytical discussions and propose data analytics solutions that would support the decision making of the business.

 Additionally, the Data Analyst will be involved in collaboration sessions with business stakeholders to share and educate on Data and best practices. It is important that the Data Analyst is willing and eager to adhere to Data Governance & Ethics practices. The Data team is part of the TECH function and works alongside other teams. The Data Analyst may be required to attend other team’s ceremonies for the duration of a project which require cross collaboration from different teams.  

Data Analyst Job Responsibilities:

When looking at the responsibilities can be broken down into the following:

  • Extracting data from different data sources and merge together in an efficient and accurate manner. 
  • Use Python for data cleaning, preparation and wrangling. 
  • Conduct & return analytical insights using Power BI tools or other visualisation as would be required. 
  • Develop clear visualisations and reporting in a clear and concise fashion. 
  • Work with Data Engineers to define metrics around data quality and monitoring solutions. 
  • Research and identify new data sources to improve data quality. 
  • Familiar with data validation methods. 
  • Own any code or data tables created. 
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Understand day-to-day issues that impact the business and propose solutions. 
  • Eager to engage in Data Governance & Ethics discussions around proper use and share of the data. 

 

Skills and experience required:

  • To be considered for the role of Data Analyst , we are looking for someone with either Industry or academic experience in analytics. Who has knowledge of Knowledge of Python and SQL or Git.  

You will also have:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn about Data Governance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps and other Microsoft Power Platform tools.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Attention to detail.

Additional information: 

This is role is a Remote UK role, with the expectation with some travel to our offices as required for team meetings.

We offer a competitive basic salary of between £40,000- £50,000 per annum, dependant on experience, Plus lots of amazing benefits
