Job Offer: Senior Software Quality Engineer

Contract Type: Freelance, Full-Time 3 Months + Location: Remote

I am seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join the development team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and release new capabilities. Your role will include leading the development of automated tests, identifying and addressing issues, and collaborating with developers to enhance product quality.

Your Role:

Implement policies and procedures for production quality standards.
Collaborate with developers to integrate quality practices.
Lead automated testing for applications in Java and JavaScript.
Perform manual testing and document defects.
Ensure non-functional requirements like security and performance are met.
Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests.
Analyze test results and resolve defects with engineering teams.
Maintain clear communication and documentation.
Stay updated on emerging testing tools and best practices.

Your Profile:

Technical education & background
5+ years in tech, 3+ years managerial experience
Proficiency in Java or JavaScript; development experience in both
Experience testing applications in Java, JavaScript, or other languages
Hands-on with automated testing frameworks, especially Cypress
Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools like GitLab CI
Experience with performance measurement tools like APM, JMeter
Understanding of REST APIs and JSON (JSON-API experience is a plus)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Quick learner of new tools and technologies
Proficiency with source code management tools like Git
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong verbal and written English skills
Proficiency in Russian or Ukrainian is a plus
