Overview
This role is responsible for managing the assigned territory to ensure consistent sales growth and achievement of sales goals and targets. This includes identifying opportunities, gaining new business and market share whilst maintaining existing business.
Responsibilities
Core Job
Provide clinical support to where relevant to Interventional Cardiologists and other Health Care Professionals in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Develop and implement Key Account Management plans to drive Company strategy and revenue targets.
Stay up-to-date with clinical knowledge and become a subject matter expert.
Ensure that Company strategies are correctly and uniformly implemented.
Develop new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity in assigned territory.
Maintain close relationships with key accounts, and ensure their requirements are being met by the company’s products where possible. Appraise current and planned customer needs and advise on the application of company products and services to customer requirements.
Comply with reporting requirements on time as required.
Represent Abbott in a professional manner that aligns with company image and brand, ensuring activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
You may be required to work outside of your ordinary hours of work to participate in essential training, team meetings, customer events or trade shows/conferences. These events may take place on an evening and/or weekend.
Quality, Safety and Environmental
Attend regular departmental meetings with relevant manager/supervisor to build in continuous feedback mechanisms.
Meet the requirements of ISO by complying with all relevant Quality policies and procedures to ensure the Quality objectives of the business are met.
Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, colleagues and/or the environment.
Ensure any PPE provided by the Abbott is worn.
Report any accidents or incidents within 24 hours through Donesafe and notify your manager.
Conduct
Ensure all activities carried out by self and others are in accordance with legislative employment policies, health & safety requirements and global policy.

Qualifications and Experience Essential
Degree level preferred in a science discipline or equivalent.
Clinical qualifications/experience of 2 years or more preferred in the Health Care Industry
Desirable
Prior experience selling vascular or structural devices would be advantageous
Prior Pharmaceutical or Medical Device selling would be highly advantageous
Competencies and Attributes
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Demonstrated history of over-achieving sales targets
Ability to quickly absorb clinical information
