Overview
We're seeking a Manager HR Shared Services to join our team! In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the successful execution of the AskHR Service Center and HR Shared Services, ensuring an exceptional employee experience through seamless service delivery and operational excellence. This role drives continuous improvement, fosters innovation, and optimizes the use of HR service delivery tools—including the employee portal, case management, and self-service functionalities—to enhance efficiency and engagement. By proactively identifying opportunities for transformation, standardizing processes, and strengthening collaboration with HR Centers of Expertise, this leader ensures that HR Shared Services is positioned to support UnityPoint Health’s dynamic and geographically dispersed workforce effectively. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with strong HR operations expertise, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to drive efficiency through people, processes, and technology.
Location: Remote/work from home. Must reside within the UPH geographies of Iowa, Illinois, & Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Lead and develop HR Shared Services teams to ensure high-quality HR service delivery and employee experience.
- Establish and communicate department goals aligned with organizational objectives.
- Oversee workload distribution, resource planning, and team engagement to achieve performance targets.
- Manage recruitment, training, and succession planning to maintain a skilled workforce.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement process enhancements, automation, and best practices to optimize HR service efficiency.
- Oversee the transition of HR operational tasks into Shared Services, ensuring seamless execution.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) and business leaders to support strategic HR initiatives.
- Manage special projects and foster strong relationships across the organization to drive service improvements.
Qualifications
What You'll Need:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required
Experience:
5 or more years relevant experience in HR, or call center operations and shared services operations required
2 Or More Years Of Leadership Experience Preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work as a team member, creating and maintaining effective working relationships
- Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures
- A working knowledge of HRIS software application/products
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize work, excellent organizational skills, and initiative to improve processes
- Strong project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary efforts
- Requires ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users
- Requires knowledge of federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Requires highly developed communication skills to effectively work with all levels of management throughout the UnityPoint Health, its subsidiaries and affiliates
- Experience working, monitoring, and interacting with third-party vendors
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communications
