Job Description

Are you passionate about mathematics, probability, and statistics? Join our dynamic team as an Actuarial Associate! In this role, you'll leverage your analytical skills to support rating and pricing, healthcare economics, and financial forecasting. You'll collaborate closely with a team of experienced actuaries and provide expertise to various departments, including Network Management, Underwriting, Sales and Marketing, Finance, and Healthcare.

  • Assist in qualitative and quantitative analysis of data to support development of rating plans and pricing for programs and products.

  • Support moderately complex product pricing analysis.

  • Assist in benefit rate filings to regulatory agencies (NCDOI, CMS)

  • Support ACA AV calculations and Annual Actuarial Memorandum

  • Support in developing pricing models and analyze benefit design impacts.

  • Communication skills to update reports, memos, and effectively present findings to the team.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, underwriters, and actuaries.

  • Supports resolution of control exceptions and maintains control documentation.

Hiring Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)

  • 0-2 years of experience in related field

  • Enrolled in the actuarial student program and is committed to completing the Society of Actuaries education system courses necessary to attain the ASA designation.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working on interning with healthcare insurance actuarial pricing teams, especially in product pricing.

  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Excel Macros

Salary Range
