Your function

The Energy Transition Sales Executive is a new energizing and essential role within DLL.

As the Sales Executive for Energy Transition (“ET”), you will help to contribute to the transformation of society and industry to achieve a more productive, sustainable future. You will be responsible for initiating, developing, and maintaining commercial contacts, identifying and pursuing new prospects and sales activity support in our vendor, direct, GBU (Global Business Units), e-mobility and Rabobank origination channels in ANZ. You will contribute to expanding exciting new initiatives, and towards implementation of the strategy within the Energy Transition team to achieve sales volumes, new business volume and profitability objectives.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Rabobank, DLL has a deep desire to deliver sustainable finance solutions that grow its business while it strengthen DLL’s brand and reputation in the energy transition market. Which means that the effort in identifying, qualifying and expanding business leads needs to be balanced by closing new business deals within the quality, policy and governance frameworks that exist within DLL. In that way market focused origination skills need to be coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills to align DLL’s business to the new challenges that arise from energy transition opportunities.

Day to day

  • Analyse the ET commercial market to identify and target new business sales opportunities within the boundaries of DLL’s overall ET strategy and align this with the commercial sales plan.
  • Identify and actively lead the pursuit of new sales opportunities whilst working closely with senior sales personnel and key internal stakeholders, to qualify partners and customers into DLL.
  • Proactively engage with new business through calls, social networking and face-to-face visits.
  • Act as a point of contact for new ET business supporting internal and external customer and partner relationships.
  • Manage the sales pipeline through negotiations and quoting, to drive the pipeline to financial close.
  • Lead the documentation and update management of leads and opportunities in the Salesforce CRM.
  • Internally network and manage local DLL stakeholders throughout the sales lifecycle to build corporate knowledge of the ET market.

Your Profile

  • Energised, persistent and resilient to deliver best in class sales business performance.
  • Credit and financing acumen in the asset finance industry to hit the ground running.
  • Passionate about the business of our customers as well as our own (eager to deliver win-win).
  • Able to maintain a positive attitude to get things done while working to demanding targets. Sees opportunities and challenges where others see roadblocks.
  • Innovative and adaptable, continuously looking for commercial business opportunities.
  • Experience in renewable energy markets to demonstrate an understanding of asset supply chains and key market participants.
  • Collaborative team player capable of working across geographies and skills disciplines.
  • Experience in influencing and negotiating complicated sales processes and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong focus on relationship building and developing trust.
  • Deep understanding of market intelligence profiling and Salesforce CRM.
  • Confident building and maintaining internal and external networks and relationships.
  • Confident and engaging presentation style and listening skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English.
