The Role: Business Development Representative Director
We are seeking a Business Development Representative Director to drive the performance and success of our Business Development Representative (BDR) team. As the BDR Director, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing sales organization, optimizing the inbound lead conversion process, and ensuring that the BDR team plays a critical role in driving sales and revenue growth across global markets.
This is a strategic leadership position, reporting directly to the Global Head of Sales in Melbourne, Australia, and working closely with key executives across departments.
You will shape the future of Influx’s BDR function, focusing on scaling the team, improving sales processes, and driving impactful results through leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead & Scale the BDR Team: Develop and execute a strategy to optimize the performance of our BDR team. Drive lead conversion and sales pipeline efficiency by ensuring every inbound lead receives a best-in-class experience.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the BDR team to maximize individual and collective performance. Implement a culture of continuous learning and improvement, with regular coaching and feedback to help team members reach their potential.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Work closely with senior sales and marketing leadership to define and execute strategies for closing deals related to our 'small teams' product. Identify and implement changes that will drive increased close rates and sales success.
- Cross-Organizational Collaboration: Partner with the global marketing and service delivery teams to align on messaging, campaign performance, and pipeline growth. Work with key stakeholders to drive change that will ensure the BDR team’s long-term success.
- Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve sales processes to enhance efficiency, data quality, and deal conversion. Own the creation of systems and workflows that help the BDR team achieve higher sales outcomes.
- Reporting & Analysis: Regularly report on team performance, sales metrics, and progress toward goals. Analyze data to identify trends and areas of improvement, and work proactively to address any challenges.
- Drive Growth & Success: Ensure that the BDR team is consistently enabled to close more deals. Identify and implement tools and resources that will enhance their productivity and success in a competitive market.
What We’re Looking For:
- Perfect English (written and spoken), with strong interpersonal skills for global communication.
- 5+ years of sales experience with a strong track record of success in sales or accounts.
- 3+ years of sales leadership experience, managing and scaling BDR or sales teams.
- Proven success in developing talent, coaching, and building high-performing sales teams.
- Experience building and improving sales processes, with a focus on optimizing lead conversion and sales efficiency.
- Excellent commercial communication skills, with a strategic mindset and the ability to lead both teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial spirit: Driven, persistent, and excited about the potential of B2B relationships and scaling a high-performing sales organization. You are passionate about winning and helping others achieve success.
