Our customer base ranges across the Public and Private sector, from mid-market to Global and this is the perfect role for an individual who has a passion to support organisations to understand their Business Interruption exposures and identify measures to improve their resilience.

This position is home based with travel to Zurich offices and client premises through the UK to develop key relationships and undertake business interruption reviews.

Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

What will you be doing?

  • Delivery of pre-loss Business Interruption reviews to provide clients with a clear understanding of loss scenarios emanating from property loss events.
  • Through the analysis of client operating models, financial reports and potential risk events identify measures to mitigate business interruption losses.
  • Develop internal and external relationships with key partners such as brokers, underwriters and relationship management colleagues to maintain a high profile for the service to identify sales opportunities and build a pipeline of activity.
  • Work with Zurich colleagues in other countries to collaborate on the development and delivery of Business Interruption services.

What are we looking for?

  • In-depth understanding of Business Interruption from a Risk Management, Consulting Claims or Underwriting perspective.
  • Experience working with large corporate customers across a range of industries.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in advising on business interruption risks.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and client relationship skills to engage a wide spectrum of stakeholders in this technical topic and achieve desired outputs.

And what would really make you stand out is if you have:

  • Proven ability to generate and maintain a sales pipeline within a consultancy role.
  • Experience working within the insurance or risk management sector.
  • Knowledge of risk management and loss prevention practices.
  • Familiarisation with business continuity, interdependency analysis and supply chain risk management concepts and practices.
  • Experience advising manufacturing, life sciences or pharmaceutical customers in such matters.

As an inclusive employer we want to ensure that all candidates feel comfortable and are able to perform at their best during the interview. You’ll have the opportunity to let us know of any reasonable adjustment or practical support needed when you apply.
