Job description

Ciklum is looking for an Expert Business Analyst to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As an Expert Business Analyst, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Working insight the Product team (Product manager, Designer, User researcher) and the client. Expected experience in and clear understanding of the modern product development approach, including User research activities. Client facing position with opportunity to impact strategic product decisions.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with all stakeholder groups and levels involved in the program or account, ensure effective collaboration, and manage stakeholders' expectations
  • Create customer journeys based on the business processes and user needs
  • Serve as a part of the Product team defining product direction, priorities and documenting them
  • Define business needs and objectives
  • Define the Business Analysis approach and processes from scratch at the Account/Program level
  • Define Information Architecture for project documentation within the Account/Program
  • Plan, distribute, and supervise Business Analysis activities and deliverables (starting from the elicitation till maintenance of requirements) and ensure the quality of deliverables
  • Coordinate and consult BAs in their daily work
  • Perform BA audit at all the phases of SDLC
  • Consult on estimation techniques at the Account/Program level, advice on BA effort estimation
  • Drive or actively contribute to the long-term solution roadmap planning
  • Define and manage the solution scope to avoid scope creep, manage dependencies, and resolve any conflicts in requirements
  • Manage the backlog: from the definition of “how” to its execution
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies according to the chosen development methodology and ensure their effectiveness
  • Suggest and implement ongoing improvements to the existing BA approach and processes at the Account/Program level to ensure their effectiveness
  • Develop the BA team's skills and competencies
  • Execute Line Manager responsibilities (optional)


Requirements:

  • Proven ability to work with all stakeholder groups and levels, along with vast experience in stakeholder management within the Account/Program
  • Strong expertise in setting up Business analysis processes and approaches (elicitation, decomposition, modeling, documentation, traceability, prioritization, and change management) at the Account/Program level. As well as choosing appropriate techniques and tools
  • In-depth proficiency in BA information management and quality audit execution within the Account/Program
  • Ability to create/adapt a set of templates according to the project context and best practices
  • Ability to define right priorities for both product and team tasks
  • Solid track record in coordinating and managing BA work
  • Experience in consulting on scope estimation techniques and BA effort estimation (including large-scale projects)
  • Proven experience in long-term roadmap planning (contributing or driving if need be)
  • Expertise in defining and managing solution scope, managing dependencies, and resolving conflicts in requirements
  • Proven experience in effective backlog management
  • Ability to ensure that the traceability approach is followed appropriately
  • Expert knowledge of Business Analysis techniques & tools, along with experience in consulting on them
  • Expertise in Agile framework selection and corresponding processes set up from scratch at the Account/Program level
  • Communication is a key. You speak and write in English fluently or at least at an upper-intermediate level
  • Accountable for the own scope of work and follow the “said and done” principle
  • Eager to learn and grow: curios, keen to constant self-development
  • Proactive in efforts to deliver results according to expectations, as well as keen to suggest new ideas, looking for alternative solutions
  • Able to express ideas, thoughts, and questions simply, concisely, and in a structured way

  • Ability to organize teamwork effectively
  • Ability to manage the team's competencies and take active steps toward the team's professional skills improvement


Desirable:

  • Proven ability to apply domain knowledge while assessing BA tasks on projects
  • Technical Skills:
  • Ability to communicate the pros and cons of multiple architectural types and integration models
  • Knowledge of API and data mapping approaches and tools, and ability to consult on them
