Job Title: Healthcare Customer Service Representative
Location: Remote (Work-from-Home)
Experience: 1 to 3 years
Shift: Monday- Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm EST (one day 9:30am-6:30pm)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Customer Service Representative with 0 to 3 years of experience in patient calling. The ideal candidate will work from home during day shifts, ensuring effective communication with patients. This role is crucial in maintaining patient satisfaction and supporting our healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
Handle patient calls with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a positive experience.
Provide accurate information to patients regarding their queries and concerns.
Maintain detailed records of patient interactions and update the system accordingly.
Follow up with patients to ensure their issues are resolved and they are satisfied with the service.
Coordinate with healthcare providers to relay patient information and ensure continuity of care.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures while handling patient information.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards during patient interactions.
Assist in scheduling appointments and managing patient calendars.
Provide support in patient education and information dissemination.
Collaborate with team members to improve patient calling processes and outcomes.
Participate in training sessions to stay updated with the latest healthcare protocols.
Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Strive to achieve individual and team targets for patient satisfaction and call handling efficiency.
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong understanding of patient calling protocols and procedures.
Demonstrate empathy and patience while dealing with patients.
Proficiency in using healthcare management software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data security.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
At Least 1 Year Of Relevant Experience

Salary And Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until February 14, 2025.
The hourly rate for this position is between $15.00 – 18.00 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
