Location:  While we are a remote based organization, this role requires someone to be present and on-site at our offices in Boston, MA

The Opportunity

At Praxis we’re looking for an engaging and organized individual to serve as our Office Experience & Events Lead.  We’re seeking someone who can juggle several differing priorities at once.  You’ll oversee the day-to-day management of activities at our offices in Boston, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.  In this capacity, you are the primary point person for interactions with the building management personnel and coordinate services, access, or other projects with them as needed.  On a larger scale, you’ll also engage with our wider Praxis organization.  We’ll be relying on you for coordination and execution of all kinds of events – small and large, on-site or off-site.  You’ve got a knack for finding the best way to accomplish the task in front of you and relish taking on new challenges.  You are all about customer service – and your positive attitude and efficient work methods mean people turn to you for reliable performance and top-notch outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver exceptional office experiences and provide direction for the organization and execution of events. 
  • Oversee day-to-day operations at our Boston offices – including coordination with building management.
  • Work with building and equipment leases and contracts and oversee office-related budgets.
  • Coordinate and plan meetings and events ranging from those for the Executive Team and the Board of Directors to team or companywide engagements – onsite at the office or offsite.
  • Identify opportunities for process and office management improvements, and design and implement new systems – coordinating with IT, People Team and other internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Work closely with our Office Assistant to ensure smooth and efficient operations and services at the office and beyond as needed – for Praxons, our partners and guests. Back-up for Office Assistant in their absence or during peak workloads.
  • Manage the company intranet.
  • Provide ad hoc support to leadership and other teams as necessary. Provide administrative support as needed.

Qualifications and Key Success Factors

  • Bachelor’s degree in office management / administration or related fields; plus 5 to 7 years of direct office management experience including experience coordinating events.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and demonstrate grace under pressure
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a passion to deliver excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop important relationships that include trust and encourage diversity in all their forms.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and exhibit good judgement.
  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and are proficient with Microsoft Office products, Outlook and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrates a high level of intellectual curiosity, innovation and creative problem solving with an entrepreneurial spirit; can thrive in an agile environment.

Work is performed in a remote, work from home environment. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb or balance. Movement through sites and labs may occasionally be required as employee may need to visit these environments. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Visual acuity is required to read and produce accurate materials. Use of keyboards and cellular devices.

To round out this world-class total rewards package, we provide annualized base salary compensation in the range listed below.  Final salary range may be modified commensurate with job level, education, and experience.

$90,000$105,000 USD
