About the Opportunity

As part of the Complex Claims team, you will, as a Claims Coordinator within the Operations Department, play a vital role in supporting the claims lifecycle, reporting directly to the Manager of Claims Coordination. This position is responsible for accurately entering claims into the proprietary software system, facilitating seamless submission to the Transcription Department, and ensuring the efficient flow of claims processing.

You will also manage the preliminary setup for Claims Analysts, providing the critical groundwork needed for accurate and timely claim analysis. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the claims process, making you an essential member of the operations team.

 

What you’ll do

  • Monitor incoming claim notifications and ensure all required documents are complete and legible.
  • Notify the Lead Claims Coordinator of missing or illegible documents and escalate problematic claims as needed.
  • Perform initial claim setup, accurately enter data, and assign correct claim statuses.
  • Transfer claim documents to the Transcription Department and notify management of re-bills.
  • Conduct preliminary analysis of client-submitted data, including claims, EOBs, bills, and policies.
  • Complete and submit request forms for additional information to the Senior Claims Analyst.
  • Organize, combine, and rename claim documents according to procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all security protocols.
  • Proactively handle additional responsibilities as assigned.

 

 

What experience you bring (Role Requirements)

  • Typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
  • Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite, including Adobe Acrobat.
  • High accuracy in data entry and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow procedures precisely.
  • Experience using multiple monitors and adapting to company-specific software.
  • Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills, with the ability to drive change across functions.

Pay range: $15.00 USD per hour. This is a non-exempt position.
