Why Is This Role So Special?  

As an Integration Engineer at Activated Insights, you will play a pivotal role planning, designing, and developing software solutions that integrate data flows between our internal systems, cloud services, and industry partners. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers to optimize integration performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Development & Management

• Lead the development and maintenance of integration workflows using Decisions, Nifi, Snowflake, AWS, SQL, Python and Typescript.
• Maintain relationships with external partners to support integration efforts.
• Design and implement flat file -and API-based integrations (REST, SOAP) to connect client systems with Activated Insights products.
• Implement customer activation automated workflows.
• Maintain batch processing and event-driven data ingestion pipelines.
• Build and configure the user authentication solutions (OIDC/SAML).
• Implement best practices for data privacy, access control, and system reliability.
• Ensure system SLA/SLO for automated and manual data processing.

• Investigate and resolve data ingestion issues, mapping errors, and authentication failures.

Must-Have:

• 5+ years of experience in integration engineering with a focus on healthcare technology, APIs, and data ingestion workflows.
• Strong experience with ETL tools (e.g., Apache Nifi, Decisions, Snowflake, AWS S3, SFTP).
• Expertise in troubleshooting complex data pipelines and integration workflows.
• Experience with OAuth 2, OpenID Connect, and/or SAML.
• Strong experience working with SQL databases (MySQL/Postgres/SQL Server). 
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with healthcare data formats (HL7, FHIR, X12).
• Familiarity with EMRs and available APIs.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS (EC2, EKS, Lamda).
• Experience with enterprise automation tools such as Decisions and workflow orchestration.
• Experience with C#/.NET and/or Java

• Remote/Hybrid 

Physical Requirements:  

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.  
• Multiple video meetings each day where web camera use is required.
