Scope/Position Summary
The Outpatient Pharmacy Informatics Analyst will provide system expertise to the development, analysis, and implementation of simple enterprise-wide clinical system projects, promoting cooperation and collaboration with other team members to achieve Department of Pharmacy and OSUWMC enterprise goals. The position will develop, maintain, and support clinical application systems and automation that pertain to medication management, with a focus on systems supporting the OSU Outpatient Pharmacy, including but not limited to Willow Ambulatory and documentation in Epic. The Outpatient Pharmacy Informatics Analyst needs to be knowledgeable in various aspects of information systems terminology, information system processing, and desktop solutions. In addition, the Outpatient Pharmacy Informatics Analyst will be familiar with OSUWMC pharmacy operations, policies, and procedures, and will consult with pharmacy staff regarding ongoing changes in pharmacy practice. The Outpatient Pharmacy Informatics Analyst needs to be able to set priorities and work independently. The Outpatient Pharmacy Informatics Analyst will contribute to a positive team culture.
Minimum Qualifications
For Hire: This position requires a college degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Nursing, Pharmacy, or Allied Health. A minimum of four years of professional experience in information technology and/or healthcare is required. Strong project and process management skills, with the ability to independently manage projects with a small to medium scope, are preferred. Must be able to keep up with technological trends, including healthcare technology trends.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
