We’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer, Android to join our Sportsbook Mobile team. This team is at the forefront of developing and enhancing our cutting-edge Sportsbook features on iOS and Android native apps, using the latest native technologies and best practices. Our team owns real-time sports betting, live scores, personalized recommendations, search, streaming, and more. In this role, you will have an opportunity to transform product vision into high-quality features that put the customer first. This role requires a high level of personal accountability and a blend of strong technical skills, creative problem-solving, and a collaborative spirit.
Develop systems and APIs that power a rich set of applications used by a large and passionate group of users every day.
Develop new features, iterating on the current systems, and maintaining our high code quality.
Care about agility as much as you care about scalability. We roll out products very quickly and are looking for a team that can pivot at a moment’s notice.
Work closely with the Product Team to understand the scope of the project and define technical requirements.
Mentor and grow junior members of the team in best practices.
At least 5 years of experience in Android development.
Proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDKs.
Experience with custom views, animations, and reactive programming (RxKotlin/RxJava, Kotlin coroutines).
Strong knowledge of OOP principles, Design Patterns, and native OS capabilities.
Expertise in app signing, deployment processes, and consumer app best practices.
Experience with REST APIs, Dependency Injection, and debugging.
Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and Redux is a plus.
