We are now recruiting for an Area Sales Manager, an opportunity to step into a thriving sales area with an already healthy order book where you will have the autonomy to shape and grow your patch, building strong client relationships and driving market share.

In this role, you’ll take a hands-on approach to managing and expanding your region, securing new sites and fostering long-term relationships. You'll use your commercial expertise to balance pricing, margins, and customer needs, ensuring strong profitability. With a keen eye on the market, you’ll track competitor activity, identify trends, and keep Marshalls ahead of the game. Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with sales, credit control, and technical teams to provide seamless service while spotting cross-selling opportunities and new revenue streams to drive even greater performance.

What are the mission-critical skills?

  • Proven and successful experience in construction materials or B2B sales in a field bases role
  • Strong commercial acumen offering the understanding of pricing strategies, margins, and the ability to successfully conclude customer negotiations.
  • You’ll have the freedom to manage your own patch, so self drive and initiative are key, together with effective time management & communications skills.
    Ability to develop strong, lasting partnerships with key stakeholders.
    Comfortable using CRM, sales reporting tools, and digital ordering platforms
  • Being home-based you will need a driving licence and be able to commute within the following postcodes M, BB, BD, BL, CW, FY, HD, HX, L, LA, OL, PR, SK, WA, WN
