Position/Title: Attendee Support Specialist (contract)
Department:  Event Technology and Registration 
Reports to:  Sr. Director, Attendee Support
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Travel Requirements: May include up to 5% (travel required Nov. 28-Dec. 5th)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 
The Attendee Support Specialist is responsible for assisting and executing tasks related to event registration customer service, which includes answering and directing incoming calls, email, and online chat from attendees, clients, hotels, and team members, pulling reports, and other projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Answers and directs incoming calls and emails from attendees, clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Provides excellent customer service to attendees, clients, and vendors.
  • Maintains understanding of event information and processes, including registration fee processing and hotel reservation management.
  • Is well-versed in customer service tools and resources
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of registration web sites/tools and event details.
  • Completes tasks as assigned by event project managers
  • Update resource guides.
  • Uses historical knowledge and expertise of event processes to train and supervise event-specific customer service teams
  • Operates independently and identifies appropriate solutions
  • Assists in streamlining event customer service team resources, specifically across the larger events.
  • Effectively uses company resources to organize and relay information needed by team members.
  • Handles all proprietary information as confidential.
  • May assist with tracking accessibility requests and meal requests and ad hoc audits (reporting).
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

COMPETENCIES 
  • Microsoft Office suite program experience, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, presentation skills and quantitative abilities.
  • Strong project management skills.

HOW WE’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU
 
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting compensation for this role is between $25.00/hour and $30.00/hour. Our ranges are based on third-party national average market compensation analysis. The actual compensation is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The compensation range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
 
Individuals will be required to sit for the majority of the day and may be required to stand as needed. May require ability to ambulate primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
