Job Title: General Manager

Job Summary: The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the dry food manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production, high-quality standards, and compliance with safety regulations. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and continuous improvement to drive profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

Direct and manage all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities.
Lead and mentor a team of managers and supervisors to achieve production goals.
Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
Production & Operation Oversight:
Ensure the manufacturing process runs smoothly, meeting production targets and quality standards.
Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet demand.
Oversee the maintenance of production equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Quality Control:

Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet established standards.
Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any issues and implement corrective actions.

Safety and Compliance (EHS):

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Develop and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure the plant complies with all relevant laws.

Financial Management P&L:

Prepare and manage budgets, including forecasting and financial planning.
Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Report on financial performance and production metrics to senior management.

Supply Chain Management

Develop and implement supply chain strategies that increase efficiency and speed.
Analyze data from shipping and delivery processes to identify bottlenecks and other issues.
Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.
Maintain inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of products.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.
Monitor logistics to ensure they run smoothly and resolve any issues.
Train and mentor employees on best practices and safety guidelines.

Continuous Improvement (LEAN improvement):

Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technology.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Food Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in a 5- 10 year senior management role within the food manufacturing industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and cost management.
