Job description

Senior Compliance Officer (Apprenticeships)
Up to £40,000 per annum experience dependent
Remote

As Senior Compliance Officer you will lead on our Apprenticeship provision ensuring that all supporting documentation and claims are compliant. Support monthly apprenticeship ILR returns ensuring timely and accurate data submissions. Also ensuring that internal audits are undertaken regularly, and compliance standards are always maintained and achieved to the highest possible standard. A self-starter with a positive attitude, happy to work in a fast-paced environment, able to control their time and workload effectively, ensuring the best outcomes against business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Validate and process ILR data efficiently in accordance with ESFA Funding Rules and internal processes. 
  • Correct ILR validation errors as identified through monthly submissions. 
  • Lead on internal audit activities and take necessary steps to resolve identified issues. 
  • Work through PDSAT's reports monthly and ensure any potential errors are resolved. 
  • Undertake monthly themed Apprenticeship auditing activities. 
  • Lead on all matters relating to an external audit. 
  • Lead on documenting company processes and implementation of changes. 
  • Support the enrolment team ensuring that all employers and learners are setup on DAS correctly. 
  • Liaise with the Delivery Teams ensuring timely and compliant submission of all starts and leavers. 
  • Liaise with the Delivery Team ensuring courses are assigned correctly on the ePortfolio in line with Training Plan agreements. 
  • Work with the quality and operations teams to ensure processes are embedded within operational activities. 
  • Monitor and report on compliance with the rules, polices and/or procedures associated to funding claims. 
  • Work with the quality and operations teams to ensure processes are embedded within operational activities. 
  • Support the Apprenticeship Delivery Team ensuring that OTJ entries are compliant and correct where issues identified. 
  • Work closely with the Quality and EPA coordinator in organising EPA activities


Skills & Experience:
 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working within a compliance-based role on Apprenticeships
  • Demonstrable understanding of DfE contract and compliance requirements 
  • Demonstrable understanding of ESFA compliance requirements with Funding Rules 
  • Good understanding of ESFA reports (Submit Learner Data, FIS, PDSAT. Digital Accounts) and ability to accurately cleanse such reports. 
  • Previous experience of ILR data processing in PICS 
  • Strong IT skills (PICS, CRM, Microsoft Applications)
