This position has responsibility for:

  • Identifying and advancing sales opportunities and meeting aggressive growth targets for 3M Commercial Branding and Transportation Division’s architectural finishes (DI-NOC™) and decorative window films portfolios.
  • In this sales and business development role, you will lead the effort to identify and cultivate an optimal network of dealer partners, architects, designers, and other key influencers and specifiers of architectural finishes while actively driving a dynamic pipeline of high potential end-user customers.
  • You will also collaborate closely with channel sales operations, portfolio and segment marketing, as well as laboratory and application engineering teams to drive sales growth.

Company Vehicle 

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position. 

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of sales and/or marketing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Current, valid Driver’s License

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Advanced experience and knowledge of the architectural design industry
  • Sales specialist or key account selling experience
  • Experience working with external partners to help mutual customers
  • Experience working with channel partners
  • Portfolio and/or segment marketing experience
  • Ability to work as an influencer, stakeholder, leader or team member with other sales reps
  • Track-record of new business development and program implementation
  • Relationship builder with a competitive nature
  • Experience and comfort presenting to customers, including corner office executives
  • Well organized, self-starter, process driven, with the ability to prioritize
  • Cross-functional experience
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and PowerBi Reporting

Work location:  

  • Location: Remote Based – United States

  • Sales Territory: Ideally located, but not limited to St Paul, MN, will cover entire US market.

Travel: May include up to 50% domestic travel

Relocation Assistance: It is authorized
