SupChains is a small Belgian consultancy company specializing in demand forecasting and inventory optimization.

Over the years, we have developed internationally recognized expertise in demand forecasting and inventory optimization. We publish regular content on social platforms, author books, and teach at European universities.

Our Clients

Our typical clients are international companies with revenue ranging from $100k to more than $1B. They are looking for our expertise to train and coach them, help them improve their processes, and develop advanced models for them. Over the years, we have worked with Pernod Ricard, Sanofi, Lidl, Lego, Nivea, PepsiCo, Bridgestone, Goodyear, BD. Compared to regular consultancy companies, the main difference is that our clients look forward to working with us, as they already know the team before the project starts.

Supply Chain Consultant role description

As our business grows, we are looking for a junior to mid-level supply chain consultant with strong data manipulation and abstraction skills to join us.

Main Tasks

• Work with clients on demand and inventory planning projects developed in Python.
• Help our clients to collect, structure, and clean data.

• Conduct forecasting and inventory optimization proof-of-concepts (POCs) with prospects and customers.

• Help our clients use our models by providing them with hands-on training and support.

• Increase our capabilities by improving our codebase, and adding functionalities such as graphs and reports.

• Depending on your experience, lead or support forecasting, and inventory optimization projects, covering business understanding, data preparation, and Python implementation.

Your Profile

You are

• Autonomous, you enjoy working alone but also part of a team.

• Passionate about supply chain management.

• Enjoy and master quantitative abstraction.

• Easy-going and friendly.

• Driven.

Experience

• You are passionate about supply, inventory, and demand planning, or looking to become an expert.

• 2- 4 years of supply chain experience in consultancy, analytics, or data science projects.

• You have experience with Python, Pandas, and/or NumPy.

• Experience with abstract, quantitative projects.

• Business fluent in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Other language skills, especially French or Spanish.

• Knowledge of technical tools or languages (Power BI, SQL, or other programming languages).

• Knowledge of advanced planning systems (Kinaxis, OMP, or similar).
