The Senior Manager, Safety, Risk & Security, manages the implementation of the approved Iron Mountain Data Center physical security strategy and the Company’s industrial security program for their assigned Data Center(s); to mitigate risk, and safeguard the organization's human and physical assets, intellectual property, integrity, and Brand reputation. In addition, the position is responsible for ensuring continuity of operations and strategy development at the assigned locations, under the leadership of the Global Security Director and in close collaboration with functional leaders across the organization.
The Senior Manager, Risk, Safety & Security will excel in building consensus and trust with stakeholders of varying cultures, specialties, and focus areas. The ability to value differences while identifying opportunities for standardization is critical. This position must collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop risk-based solutions in support of the business and develop strong partnerships with industry and government partners.
Responsibilities:
Based on established standards, implement and manage a comprehensive set of Data Center Physical Security protocols and specifications that ensure that all IMDC operations are consistent with industry standards, contractual obligations, Corporate policies and procedures, and applicable regulatory standards
Protect government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures. Execute Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
Identify deficiencies, develop and implement corrective action and communicate results to security management and customers
Conduct Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
Conduct incident response and investigations for assigned locations in coordination with designated Corporate investigative resources
At the direction of leadership, maintain close relationships with customers and public sector partners, to maintain awareness of specific and emerging threats, and ensure that IMDC takes appropriate steps to responsibly address and mitigate those threats
Perform effectively as part of a shared responsibility team with the Data Center Managers and other functional team leads
Thorough working knowledge of the NISPOM, other relevant DoD security guidance as well as the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards
Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
Minimum 7-10 years of progressively responsible security management experience
Degree in Security Administration, Criminal Justice, Industrial Security, or related fields are highly desirable
Demonstrated experience developing strategy and taking actionable steps to deliver/implement that strategy
Process improvement and operational efficiency mindset with ability to use industry relationships to continuously facilitate action plans and strategies
Demonstrated track record managing multiple projects simultaneously
Deadline driven, organized and able to multi-task and adapt as conditions change
Confident and effective communicator with the ability to effectively build credibility and strong relationships at all levels. Be able to interpret company and government security policies and apply them to program operations
Demonstrated analytical skills to judge situations accurately and quickly, grasping complexities, identifying key issues and applying sound judgment
Operate with the highest level of integrity and management of sensitive information
Experience with SAP’s, FSO responsibilities, and SCIF designs preferred
Candidates should have the skills and knowledge to assist in direct customer facing activities
Must have excellent interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills, as well as strong leadership traits
