POSITION SUMMARY
Performs as a senior member of the IT team, responsible for all the Enterprise Applications such as Financial, Marketing, HR Systems, Veterinary Practice Management Systems (PIMS/PMS) and other software that supports the operations of the Clinics and Support Center. The role will lead the development of the strategy, architecture and ongoing support and maintenance. Responsible for collaborating with key business partners to understand and influence the business strategy and align the Enterprise applications portfolio to achieve the expected business outcomes. Define and determine requirements and solutions needed. Lead project tracks and provide technical leadership and direction as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Define and lead the execution of strategy and implementation of enterprise applications that support the company.
Contribute to the selection and development of technical architecture and ensure implementation complies with methodologies, standards and architectural guidelines
Develop and facilitate regular release cycles on key systems using DevOps, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
Gather and analyze technical information for designing new systems and making changes to existing systems.
Apply in-depth technical expertise to guide and direct others in their area of technical responsibility.
Define and build detailed technical solutions to support complex application development projects.
Create system design specifications and build according to those specifications for complex project assignments.
May act as an architect in the development of technical design documents and provide oversight to external developers.
Contribute to the development of IT application and technical architecture strategies.
Participate in 24/7 on-call support.
Communicate ideas and solutions effectively to drive results.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other IT associates on best practices and development techniques.
Participate in hardware and/or software studies and provide recommendations to management based on results.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

Education & Experience
Competencies
Experience in working within dynamic, fast paced environments
Experience of communicating and liaising with senior key stakeholders and project sponsors
Exceptional influencing, leadership, and motivational skills

Comprehensive understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle, as applied to projects of increasing size and complexity, with emphasis on the following core activities:

Technical Skills
Experience implementing and solutioning of Enterprise Applications including Finance, HR, Marketing, Veterinary practice management software (PIMS/PMS) or EMR/EHR platforms.
Experience in Veterinary IT or healthcare is a plus
Experience in Agile, Scrum and Waterfall project management
