As a Communication Specialist on the ProTradeNet team, a typical day for you will include:

  • Execution of PTN communication strategy. Work directly with the Brand Marketing Manager and closely with the PTN team to understand, develop, and update communication planning with a holistic approach and execution of content calendars. This includes determining the best communication media and timing.

  • Content writing and editing. Assist in the creation of member electronic newsletters, vendor electronic newsletters, and corporate electronic newsletters, including writing, editing, and distributing as needed. Write and edit content to PTN’s voice.

  • Social Media Management. Determine a social media calendar along with developing objectives and initiatives. Curate and post engaging content on PTN’s social channels. Interact with the audience with a focus on growing engagement. Use analytics and reporting tools to support business decisions and measure performance.

  • Website Authoring. Work with PTN team to strategically update program content on the website. At times this may include direct interaction with vendors and/or trading partners. This will also include seeking to improve the functionality of the website. Assist in the management of website user access.

  • Creation of other marketing materials. Provide copywriting, editing, proofreading, and quality control for marketing materials, ensuring adherence to brand standards. Leverage basic graphic design skills to contribute to crafting visually engaging marketing materials to promote PTN, our vendors, their programs, and any other opportunities that may arise. Materials will be distributed via video, presentations, direct mail, PDF, and other methods of communication as needed. This includes assisting in the production of the annual Vendor Directory.

(Required qualifications)

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in journalism, public relations, communications, or marketing, or equivalent relevant experience.

    • Required experience includes developing and executing successful strategic communications campaigns, as well as proficiency with email marketing platforms and major social media platforms. This includes analyzing performance metrics and measuring KPIs.

  • Schedule / in-office requirements: Remote (with hybrid option for candidates in the Waco or DFW area)
