The Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Innovation department is looking for an FP&A associate with experience from life science and biosolutions to join a unique task force team headed by a Project Director, dedicated to a pioneering exploratory pre-project on advancing precision fermentation in Denmark with the aim to facilitate the Green Transition.

The Job
As FP&A associate, you will work closely with colleagues in-house and key external partners in the innovation ecosystem on an explorative pre-project playbook on fermentation for the Green Transition. You will lead and drive the data driven financial modelling for business development and investment cases within precision fermentation, including quantitative models for CO2 emissions from precision fermentation and time projections and exploration of financing models.
Your key tasks will be to:
- Prepare data-driven, financial models for business case and investment cases
- Prepare mitigation strategies in relation to cost downsides
- Prepare quantitative models for analysis of CO2 emission and future projections of these
- Explore alternative financing models and investment options
This is a temporary 18-month position with possibility of extension. Your primary workplace is onsite at the Novo Nordisk Foundation's offices in Hellerup, Denmark, with option for partly remote working conditions in agreement with the Project Director. Some travel activity should be expected (10-20 days/year).
Professional Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you must be motivated by working in a fast-paced team collaborating with team colleagues and external stakeholders.
We expect that you hold a master’s degree in Finance, Economics and Business Administration, in Operation and Supply Chain Management, or in Business Administration and Bio-entrepreneurship, or the like - preferably with an understanding of bioproduction and the ecosystem related to biosolutions, and that you have 5 or more years of relevant work experience preferably from industry.
Furthermore, we expect that you possess:
- Excellent ability to understand, analyse, structure and communicate large and complex financial contents and data with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent structured writing skills
- Experience with operational economics, financial planning, and standard cost calculations
- Profound financial process analysis competencies as well as modelling of time projections
- Understanding of the voice of the customer
- Understanding the biosolution product space in the Danish ecosystem is a plus`
