The Impact of a Sr. FP&A Analyst at Coupa:

Coupa Software is seeking an accomplished and strategic Sales FP&A Director to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team. This leadership role will focus on partnering closely with sales, renewals, and customer support functions to drive financial strategy, operational efficiency, and revenue growth in a SaaS environment. The Sales FP&A Director will be instrumental in guiding decision-making, enhancing business performance, and ensuring alignment with the company’s overarching strategic goals.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Serve as a trusted financial partner and advisor to sales, renewals, and customer support leaders, offering strategic insights to influence decision-making.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with operational leaders to align on business priorities and challenges.
  • Financial Planning Analysis:
  • Lead financial planning and analysis efforts for sales and customer-facing teams, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling.
  • Ensure financial plans accurately reflect business strategies, with a focus on SaaS-specific metrics such as bookings, ARR, churn, and customer LTV.
  • Performance Optimization:
  • Identify and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, improve profitability, and optimize operational efficiency across sales and customer success teams.
  • Develop performance dashboards and KPIs to monitor sales effectiveness and track progress toward key initiatives.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Spearhead cross-functional initiatives to enhance financial and operational processes, leveraging innovative and scalable solutions tailored to the SaaS industry.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management, offering actionable recommendations to support business goals.
  • Risk Opportunity Management:
  • Assess financial risks and opportunities within sales and customer-facing functions, developing actionable mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with all regulations and policies.

  • What You Will Bring to Coupa:
  • 8+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a proven record of partnering with sales or customer-facing teams to achieve business objectives, ideally in a SaaS environment.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and performance measurement tools (Excel and Anaplan preferred).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to drive consensus among senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working with SaaS metrics and understanding sales cycles, renewals, and customer retention dynamics.
  • Professional finance or accounting qualifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are highly valued.
