Accountant

SoftBank Robotics, the global leader in workforce automation, is seeking a talented Accountant to join our fast-

growing, fast-paced Finance team that is focused on shaping the future through artificial intelligence and robotics. We

believe workplace automation is the next big technological shift, comparable to the introduction of the

smartphone.

A vital part of the accounting team, the GL Accountant, will handle various accounting duties including month

end closing, production of financial reports and appropriate analysis, general ledger maintenance, commission

calculations and overall analysis. This role will be responsible for daily accounting, financial audits, budgeting,

financial reporting, system implementation, and acquisitions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support monthly financial close including assigned balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations, journal entries and accruals.
• Prepare month end reconciliations which may include but not limited to various bank accounts, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and/or other asset and liability accounts.
• Post journal entries as required for asset, liability and income statement accounts.
• Assist in providing financial reporting and schedules as requested by management and operations.
• Monthly P&L reporting, budget variance analysis and commentary.
• Complete various tax filings including sales and use, personal property, excise and gross receipts.
• Assist in resolution of tax notices and research as needed.
• Provide accounting support for ongoing projects in conjunction with GAAP Compliance.
• Commission calculation and preparation.
• Evaluate, create and implement processes and controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and SBRA policies.
• Maintain and update chart of accounts and general ledger structure.
• Support quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by external auditors.
• Perform other ad hoc accounting projects as needed, and ad hoc financial analysis as requested.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required, emphasis in accounting highly preferred. CPA certification a plus.
• 3+ years of public and private accounting work experience. Big 4 experience is a plus but, not required.
• Operational accounting experience in a growing SAAS technology business.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Willingness to take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed. Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
• Strong written and oral communication, team player, detail oriented and sound organizational skills
• Ability to work independently to identify problems early and explore possible solutions. Thrive in a high performance, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, SharePoint applications, Concur.
• Experience with SAP by Design and Zuora.
