BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst (Power BI) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and visualization, with expertise in Power BI. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop insightful dashboards, and provide data-driven recommendations to support business decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating scalable data solutions, optimizing reporting performance, and ensuring data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into actionable insights
• Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources for reporting and analysis
• Optimize Power BI dashboards for performance and usability
• Create and manage data connections, measures, and calculations using DAX and Power Query
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all reporting solutions
• Conduct ad hoc analysis and provide data-driven recommendations to support business strategy
• Train end-users and provide documentation on Power BI reports and dashboards
• Work with IT and data teams to improve data infrastructure and ensure seamless data integration

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar role
• Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and report development
• Strong SQL skills for querying and data extraction
• Experience working with relational databases and data warehousing concepts
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Must be a U.S. Citizen 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Synapse, SQL Server, or other cloud-based data solutions
• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis
• Knowledge of data governance, data modeling, and best practices in business intelligence
• Power BI certification (e.g., PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst) is a plus
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and project management tools
