Job description

This is a remote position.

Full time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
8 am to 5 pm, California time zone

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to be embedded within our Sales and Marketing team as a crucial member of our DataOps value chain. This role serves as the direct liaison between sales operations and our DataOps framework, providing real-time analytics support and insights to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will transform complex data sets into actionable insights while ensuring seamless integration with our DataOps processes and maintaining data quality standards. This role reports to the Head of Sales

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with sales and marketing teams on a daily basis as an embedded analyst, providing real-time support and insights for decision-making
  • Collaborate with the DataOps team to maintain data pipelines, maintain data quality, and implement best practices for data governance
  • Participate in sales and marketing DataOps initiatives by being a sales and marketing data subject-matter expert
  • Analyze sales trends, customer behavior patterns, and marketing campaign performance
  • Create and maintain dashboards and regular reports to track KPIs, sales metrics, and marketing ROI across multiple channels
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify opportunities for growth and optimization through data-driven insights
  • Develop and implement tracking systems for new marketing initiatives and sales programs
  • Clean, validate, and process large datasets from various sources including CRM systems, marketing platforms, and sales databases
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in clear, actionable formats



Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in data analysis, with at least 2 years focusing on sales or marketing analytics
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel for data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Proven track record of providing data insights to drive business decisions and improve performance
  • Excellent knowledge of statistical analysis and forecasting methods
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Python
  • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and processes
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and experimental design
  • Experience with CRM systems
