POSITION DESCRIPTION
As an Email Marketing Specialist, you will take ownership of planning, designing, and executing email campaigns that drive client success. This role combines strategic thinking with creative execution, including email calendar management, graphic design, segmentation, and performance analysis. A strong focus on creating visually engaging designs is key, along with ensuring ecient task management and client communication. Administrative responsibilities, such as time tracking and collaboration, are vital to ensure that all projects stay within scope and budget. The client is a Klaviyo Platinum Partner and they exclusively take on clients that are on - or looking to migrate to - Klaviyo
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & SPECIFIC DUTIES
Client Responsibilities:
Ongoing Email Marketing Services:
● Manage the email marketing calendar, including campaign planning and concept development.
● Design visually compelling EDMs, write persuasive copy, and ensure timely testing and scheduling.
● Execute segmentation strategies to improve email targeting and audience engagement.
● Monitor and optimise Deliverability and performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
Client Communication:
● Maintain ongoing communication with clients via email and/or Slack during specified business hours
● Lead fortnightly 30-minute planning and performance calls to review results and adjust strategies.
Admin Responsibilities:
Task Management:
○ Use Asana to organise, track, and update all project tasks for seamless collaboration.
○ Communicate progress and updates with the team via Asana and Slack.
Team Collaboration:
○ Attend a weekly check-in with the relevant White Canvas Co team to discuss priorities, challenges, and ongoing progress.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
● Proven experience in email marketing with a strong portfolio of campaigns and results.
● Prociency in graphic design tools Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
● Strong copywriting skills with the ability to craft engaging and persuasive email content.
● Strong eye for aesthetics
● Be on top of creative email trends / what is happening in the market
● Expertise in the Klaviyo email marketing platform
● Understand the role email marketing plays within the wider ecommerce ecosystem
● Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and clients simultaneously.
● Basic understanding of Shopify preferred
● Familiarity with tools like Asana, Slack, and Harvest is a plus.
KPIs
Email Campaign Management:
○ Manage an average of 10 emails per month per client.
○ Ensure all emails meet high-quality design standards and achieve client goals.
Communication & Responsiveness:
Respond promptly to client and team communications during agreed business hours.
Design & Deliverability:
- Ensure all emails meet high design standards and hit or exceed industry-average deliverability rates.
