Vice President, Recruitment Operations - Job Description:
The Vice President (VP), Recruitment Operations is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for overseeing and innovating recruitment strategies and execution across multiple staffing verticals, including nursing (acute and post-acute), allied health, direct hire, interim leadership, and per diem staffing. The VP, Recruitment Operations will ensure operational excellence, lead business process optimization (BPO) initiatives, and foster collaboration across a highly matrixed organization. This role is critical in driving recruitment success, delivering exceptional service to clients, and maintaining the organization’s competitive edge in the healthcare staffing industry.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
• Design & execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy that aligns with the organization's business goals and staffing verticals.
• Lead efforts to ensure operational scalability and effectiveness to meet evolving client demands and market dynamics.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure recruitment efficiency, quality, and return on investment.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to forecast staffing needs and implement forward-thinking recruitment strategies.
Operational Innovations:
• Oversee and optimize recruitment operations by implementing scalable systems, tools, and technologies to enhance talent acquisition processes.
• Drive Business Process Optimization (BPO) initiatives to streamline workflows and improve efficiency across recruitment teams.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging data analytics and identifying areas for process and system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and industry best practices.
Collaboration in a Matrixed Environment:
• Partner with internal stakeholders across sales, account management, and operations to understand client needs and align recruitment strategies.
• Work collaboratively within a highly matrixed organization to drive alignment and integration across functions.
• Build strong relationships with partners across the enterprise.
Team Development:
• Develop, and mentor a high-performing BPO leadership team, fostering professional growth and retention.
• Establish a collaborative, performance-driven team culture that prioritizes accountability, innovation, and results.
Client and Candidate Engagement:
• Partner closely with recruitment and account management teams to deliver tailored recruitment solutions that address client needs.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve candidate engagement and satisfaction, ensuring a seamless recruitment journey.
Qualifications:
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in staffing, with a strong preference for healthcare staffing.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field or applicable years of experience.
• Proven track record of managing multi-vertical recruitment operations, including nursing (acute and post-acute), allied health, direct hire, interim leadership, and per diem staffing.
• Demonstrated expertise in leading BPO initiatives and driving operational innovation in a matrixed environment.
• Experience with Vendor Management Systems (VMS) and Managed Service Provider (MSP) models and technology.
• Proven track record of successfully integrating companies and rolling out transformational change.
• Strong technical savvy with the ability to leverage and implement technology solutions to drive recruitment success.
• Highly effective communication/presentation capabilities of change to a large team in a hybrid environment
• Self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.
• Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently in an extremely fast paced, high growth environment.
• Ability to manage influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building.
• Strong empathy for customers and passion for revenue and growth.
• Deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models.
• Analytical and process-oriented mindset.
• Enthusiastic and creative leader with the ability to inspire others.
• Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
