The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Golang and Kubernetes Development, you will focus on deploying, managing, and optimizing blockchain clients within Kubernetes environments. A core responsibility will be developing Kubernetes Operators and Kubernetes-native applications in Golang to streamline the lifecycle management of blockchain networks, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and updates. This role requires deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture and blockchain technologies, with an emphasis on building robust, scalable, and efficient solutions. You’ll play a vital role in enhancing the reliability and performance of blockchain infrastructure within a cloud-native ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, deploy Kubernetes Operators in Golang to manage the lifecycle of blockchain clients and related components.
Build Kubernetes-native applications to improve the deployment and operational efficiency of complex workloads.
Provide ongoing maintenance and production support for Kubernetes Operators and applications, addressing incidents and implementing fixes as needed.
Work with Kubernetes APIs and extend Kubernetes functionalities to meet the unique requirements of distributed systems.
Collaborate with Engineering teams to containerize and optimize clients for Kubernetes-based deployments.
Research and implement solutions to monitor, update, and optimize client performance within Kubernetes environments.
Create and maintain technical documentation for operator development, Kubernetes deployments, and Kubernetes-native applications.
What you bring
5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or software development with a focus on Kubernetes, blockchain, and cloud-native technologies.
Strong proficiency in Golang, with experience developing Kubernetes Operators using tools like Operator SDK or KubeBuilder.
Deep knowledge of Kubernetes concepts, including Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), controllers, schedulers, and networking.
Hands-on experience deploying and managing distributed systems and complex workloads, and blockchain clients on Kubernetes.
Experience with observability tools for Kubernetes environments, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms.
A proactive mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving, capable of innovating under pressure and committed to reducing risks and technical debt.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with various stakeholders.
The US base salary range and level for this position is $175,950 - $195,500 USD per year and level P4. International ranges, in local currency, will be discussed during the hiring process with applicable candidates. This role is eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to company and individual goal achievement. We consider years of experience, level of proficiency in job function, the technical competencies required and location when determining base salary ranges for positions and levels.
