Why you'll want to come to work:

Our Motion Designer role offers the rare opportunity to create high-quality animations to drive marketing efforts on the next massive hit in the match-3 genre, Treasure Party. 

This is a high-impact role where you'll create compelling video ads for our top-performing mobile title. Using your expertise in motion graphics and design, you'll craft high-quality ad units for a game that has already achieved product-market fit. Your work will play a crucial role in driving user acquisition and retention, directly influencing the game's success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact!

Your Impact:

  • Build Dynamic Motion Graphic based Video Ad Units: Partner with our Creative and UA teams to build attention-grabbing mobile video ads units for global audiences. You will work end-to-end on video ads projects using a mix of live-action footage, game capture, 3D animation, and motion graphics elements.
  • Collaborate: Partner with the Creative and UA team to brainstorm engaging ad concepts that align with PlayQ’s marketing objectives. Contribute creative input and innovative solutions to improve ad design and performance. Present concepts and motion drafts to stakeholders for feedback and approval.
  • Optimize Ad Performance: Analyze campaign data with the UA team and contribute strategic ideas to enhance and maximize the effectiveness of future ads. Continuously refine creative approaches to drive stronger engagement and results.
  • Quality Assurance: Review your ads to ensure they achieve the intended marketing objectives. Revise and improve ads based on feedback from Creative / UA teams and other departments.
  • Asset Management: Maintain an organized and cohesive work flow that ensures projects are shareable amongst team members. Save and archive all projects properly.
  • Research and Development: Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in motion design and user acquisition creative strategies. Experiment with new styles, workflows, and technologies.
  • Documentation and Presentation: Prepare documentation and/or video tutorials to maintain consistency across projects.

What you'll bring to the team: 

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Motion Design, Graphic Design, Game Design, or a related field with equivalent experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and the Adobe creative suite of tools.
  • Design Expertise: A strong portfolio showcasing 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics, and game-related visual effects. Understanding of animation principles, timing, and physics. Strong understanding of visual storytelling and how motion can enhance user engagement. Knowledge of typography, color theory, and graphic composition.
  • Creativity: Innovative mindset to create visuals that drive engagement.
  • Ability to Problem Solve: Proactively find solutions to animation-related technical challenges. 
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a keen eye for precision in all aspects of your work, from the smallest elements of animation to the overall composition.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Proactive communication within and across teams, to work effectively in a team environment. Strong verbal communication skills in English.
  • Adaptability: Ability to incorporate feedback and iterate on designs quickly.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines. 

Bonus Points:

  • 3D animation experience (C4D or Blender).
  • Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine, including experience implementing animations and visual effects.
  • Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools like Runway, Midjourney, etc.

At PlayQ, we leverage competitive benchmarking data when setting each role’s base pay range. Individual base salary will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, scope of role, business need and geographic location.

Additional information:

  • This is a contract position, open to candidates located in Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Uruguay.
