Job description

Join our global team of over 1,000 engineer support heroes, and work with some of the world’s leading brands, from high-street giants to energy multinationals and financial institutions.

We are seeking a skilled Meraki Network Implementation Engineer to join our IT team. This role is critical in implementing global Meraki SD-LAN across our IT networks both locally and internationally. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Meraki network implementations, management, and support. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, collaborative skills, a proactive approach to implementing Meraki network services, and the ability to travel to client locations across Germany.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as part of the project team to implement Meraki LAN and Wi-Fi solutions.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line implementation expertise, resolving complex network issues in environments with a mix of office and factory settings, involving IT, IoT, and OT systems.
  • Review and approve site surveys conducted by third-party vendors, ensuring accurate bill of materials and validating design and implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external third parties to create testing and cutover plans for site implementations.
  • Travel to client sites to oversee implementations and ensure a smooth cutover.
  • Provide remote guidance to non-network IT specialists on LAN and Wi-Fi implementations.
  • Work closely with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of Meraki LAN and Wi-Fi with existing SD-WAN services, including cloud-hosted services on Azure and ITSM practices.
  • Follow and contribute to global SD-LAN deployment standards, ensuring a high-quality transition to operations.
  • Ensure compliance with network security protocols, particularly in cloud environments, and keep them updated according to industry standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in network engineering, with strong expertise in Cisco Meraki LAN, Wi-Fi, and Firewall implementations.
  • Deep understanding of Meraki cloud-managed solutions and familiarity with SD-WAN technologies.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively across different levels of the organization and with external vendors.
  • Driver’s license and own car required.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations across Germany for implementations and cutovers (all travel expenses reimbursed).
Contract Details:
  • 6-month rolling contract with the potential for extension.
  • Remote role with on-site travel as required.
  • Reimbursed travel expenses.
