This position supports our Western Region. Ideal Candidates will reside in the Western US and work Pacific Time zone office hours, to best support our operations.
The AVP Network Management is responsible for overseeing the development, management, and financial performance of the provider network to ensure comprehensive access, high quality, and efficient service delivery for our members.
Job Summary Details
- Oversee provider network development and implementation of new and existing markets to ensure objectives are met at both organization and client levels; networks to include general and specialty offices to support commercial, Medicaid and Medicare lines of business, as appropriate.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for network growth and optimization, ensuring alignment with organizational goals for cost, quality, and access.
- Evaluate network composition and performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and expansion.
- Lead provider relations initiatives to build and maintain positive relationships with current network providers.
- Develop strategies to enhance provider satisfaction and engagement.
- Oversee the negotiation of provider contracts, focusing on terms that promote quality, access, and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement and oversee a comprehensive network performance monitoring system, including quality, utilization, cost, and provider satisfaction metrics.
- Use data to drive network improvements and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure the provider network complies with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
- Stay abreast of changes in healthcare regulations affecting network management.
- Collaborate with departments across the organization, including Account Management Claims, Member Services, and Quality Management, to ensure the network supports overall member satisfaction and organizational goals.
- Lead and develop a high-performing network management team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure and manage the financial performance of the networks in the assigned region.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- 4 Year / Bachelor Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 12 Years' experience in healthcare network management, provider relations, or a similar role within a managed care organization.
- 5 Years' experience leading and developing high performing teams.
Specific Skills/Knowledge
- Proven track record of successful network development and provider relations management.
- Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems, provider payment methodologies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to utilize data in decision-making processes.
- Exceptional leadership and team development skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage and motivate a diverse team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with providers, staff, and external partners.
- Ability to travel as required to meet with providers, attend industry events, and represent the organization in various forums.

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $155,000 - $175,000, not including fringe benefits or potential bonuses. At Liberty, your final base salary will be determined by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We are committed to pay equity and also consider the internal equity of our current team members when making final compensation decisions.
Please note that the range listed represents the full base salary range for this role. Typically, offers are not made at the top of the range to allow for future salary growth.
